Progress to date
“The scientific man does not aim at an immediate result. He does not expect that his advanced ideas will be readily taken up… His duty is to lay the foundation for those who are to come, and point the way.”
~ Nikola Tesla
The Epsilon Foundation intially focused on finding a suitable head office. It purchased a 38 acre block of land in Tara (4hrs west of Brisbane) with the intent to develop a sizable establishment for our field project. After an initial study, the land was not feasible for The Epsilon Project as land mass did not suit the foundation’s criteria. Later in 2008, the foundation shared office with a practicing law firm in Durack. This office will temporary house a suitable work environment for Epsilon members and staff.
In a significant move the foundation sold its land asset to raise further capital in an effort to purchase a larger sized block of land for the development of The Epsilon Project.
In Mid-2009, the foundation was able to obtain permission from one of our members to utilise their remote facility in Douglas to conduct research and establish a small base of operations.
The Next Steps
The Epsilon Foundation is aiming at raising $2 million in order to purchase/develop a Research Centre and a further $500, 000 to purchase land in excess of 50 acres. The Research Centre will be located in the Darling Downs Region and will house:
- an observatory/planetarium promoting the benefits of science and technology
- a conference/convention hall
- administrative facilities and
- technical workshops and laboratory for research and development
Visit The Epsilon Project Page for more information.
During the next 2 years this will be our primary concern.
